Select-Amazon Magazine is thrilled to present the latest iteration of the Insta360 Go series – the Insta360 Go 3. This innovative action camera continues to push boundaries and captivate users with its exceptional design and features.
The Go 3 weighs a mere 1.25 ounces (36 grams) and boasts compact dimensions of 2.1 x 1 x 0.9 inches (54.4 x 25.6 x 23.3 millimeters). Its lightweight and small form factor make it incredibly versatile, allowing users to effortlessly fit it into tight spaces and mount it on various objects. Unlike bulkier action cameras, the Go 3 offers hassle-free portability without compromising on performance.
Equipped with a protruding lens that includes a removable Lens Guard, the Go 3 prioritizes protection and convenience. The Lens Guard can be easily replaced in the event of damage, ensuring uninterrupted shooting experiences. Additionally, a programmable button situated next to the lens allows users to perform specific functions with a single or double press, such as recording FreeFrame or slow-motion videos.
While the backside of the Go 3 lacks camera functionality, it possesses magnetic properties that make it an integral component of the Go 3 ecosystem. This powerful magnet enables seamless attachment to magnetic surfaces like refrigerators or car hoods. Users can trust in the strength of the magnet, as accidental drops are rare.
Featuring an internal 310 mAh battery, the Go 3 ensures extended usage. Insta360 claims a battery life of 45 minutes under “lab conditions” when recording at 1080p and 30 frames per second. In practical testing at 1440p and 30 frames per second, continuous recording yielded nearly 34 minutes of video.
The Go 3 pairs perfectly with the Action Pod, which acts as a charging hub, monitoring device, and control center. With a 2.2-inch flip-up touchscreen, the Action Pod allows wireless monitoring of the camera’s video feed when detached. It also includes a power/sleep button, a “Q” button for quick settings recall, and a shutter button. The Action Pod’s magnetic bottom facilitates seamless connection to a range of accessories.
To charge the Go 3 module, it simply needs to be placed in the Action Pod, which initiates automatic recharging, similar to Apple AirPods’ charging case. However, once the Action Pod’s integrated battery depletes, it cannot be replaced like conventional action cameras, rendering it incapable of further shooting.
The Go 3 also boasts internal storage, and customers can choose between 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB options at the time of purchase. With 64 GB providing ample space for day trips, users can opt for the 128 GB variant for extended storage requirements. Notably, the additional 64 GB upgrade is reasonably priced, catering to those who frequently capture videos.
Included with the Go 3 are three starter accessories: the Magnetic Pendant, Easy Clip, and Pivot Stand. The Magnetic Pendant allows users to wear the camera module under clothing, providing secure attachment with its magnetic design. The Easy Clip, although less impressive, can be used for mounting the Go 3 on objects such as caps or pet collars. The Pivot Stand offers versatility, supporting both the Go 3 module and the full Action Pod on its magnetic base. It includes a 1/4”-20 mounting hole for compatibility with selfie sticks and tripods.
When it comes to video settings and quality, the Go 3 excels. With an 11mm-equivalent lens and an f/2.2 aperture, it offers shooting capabilities of up to 2.7K video
